Окончил МГИМО МИД СССР в 1961 году. Во время работы в МИД и загранучреждениях министерства занимал должности директора департамента, члена Коллегии МИД, советника-посланника в Великобритании, посла в Австралии, Казахстане, Белоруссии и Словении.
Имеет ряд публикаций по международным проблемам в российских и зарубежных изданиях.

Vyacheslav Ivanovich DOLGOV

Professor, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentionary.

Graduated from MGIMO in 1961 with a degree in International relations.

The same year joined the Ministry of Foreign affairs.

During the 44 years of diplomatic career held positions of Department Director, Member of Collegium of the Foreign ministry, Minister-Counsellor of the Soviet embassy in London, Soviet, then Russian Ambassador in Australia, Russian Ambassador in Kazakhstan, Belarus and Slovenia.

Awarded Soviet, Russian and Kazakhstan state orders and decorations.

Has publications on international relations in Russian and foreign press.

Since September 2005 has been lecturing Consular law: theory and practice, as well as other courses on diplomacy at the MGIMO.

Managed the project of "Winter Diplomatic school" for the students of regional higher education institutions of Russia. Currently is responsible for the "Diplomatic module" for the MGIMO students.
